A return to a bygone—but by no means outdated—grunge and garage-rock sound, Los Angeles–based power trio FriendlyBear owns the stage and serves up face-melting (but friendly) rage. Heavily influenced by rock bands of the ‘90s, such as Soundgarden, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice In Chains, Silverchair, and Bad Religion; the music has facets of both positive and negative emotions, but it would not be complete without both.
What was once a childhood dream of FriendlyBear’s founder, and Los Angeles Executive Chef, Guy Jedidiah to play in a garage rock band, has quickly become a hard-hitting reality. Guy, along with Megan Speer and Adam Bones (The Two Tens, Save Ferris, Compress Collide, The Gabba Gabba Heys) have unleashed a mighty roar across the local Los Angeles scene since their first official show in the Summer of 2018. They've played with some of LA's finest local bands in such iconic venues as The Viper Room, The Satellite, The Whiskyagogo and The Troubadour.
FriendlyBear recently released its first 5-song EP, has a music video on the way, and is currently recording the next 5-song EP at Deathstar Studios in Koreatown.
